Does anyone install chips for extra horsepower in their rides, or is it a waste of money, and does it save gas?

Doesnt work and yes its a waste of money. Software Tune/reflash is your best choice.

The ones you're probably referring to are total scams. They do none of the things claimed. Only actual things that would work would be Uprev Osiris or similar. But the price is $4-700 depending on version/tune, not $40 like the eBay scams.
