Hey hey,
I'm going to be completely honest I dont own a FX45 yet. I just had a few questions before I bought one and figured this would be the best place to ask.

I'm live in Colorado and am going to try and lift it to get to trail heads and whatnot. Anyone lift there's? What kit did you use?

As well is I'm seeing plenty of FX45's that have around 200k miles on them. Are they ready to sh*t the bag or should be good with some decent maintanence.

Thank you everyone I'm stoked to be picking one up.

Welcome! I'm a long time owner of a FX45, now with 292k on the clock. (replaced engine at 240k) With that said, the V8 parts are harder to find than the V6 variant. For lifted and off road transformation purposes, I don't know if V6 is out of the picture for you. I believe the suspensions are the same. Not trying to sell you on the V6, but if you're concerned about breakage and replacement parts (which you should be with any high mileage off roader), the V8 45's are much more rare than the V6 35's. Not only FX parts too. The FX35 VQ engines are shared amongst a good number of Infiniti and Nissan models. The FX45 VK engines are limited to just a few Infiniti models.
Good news though, my FX45 has been hands down the best vehicle I've ever owned, and now that they're approaching being 20 years old, are at bargain low prices.

I think I'd rather go with the V6 just as it was more common, I can find junkyard parts easier and whatnot.

I did have a question about high mileage Fx's.

I bought a Toyota Previa S/C with 219k, drove it across the country twice and its still running great.

Is 200k to many for an FX? How many would it last? (Saying it is being cared for and maintained)

In my opinion, cars' longevity from the big 3 Japanese manufactures are all similar enough. Before personally adding well over 200k miles to my current Infiniti, I took my Toyota Camry to 300k before retiring it, and I gave way to my Honda Accord at 200+k miles. It's all in the care and maintenance.

I had a 2003 FX45 with 240+ miles. It takes oil and had oil leaks. I was the second owner from 95K miles and did all the maintenance myself. Finally decided to let it go just because I wanted to get into a newer version.
