What's up everyone. I just bought an 08' Infiniti EX35. Traded in my 05' FX35 for the EX. I love the EX. It's not as big as the FX and drives live a sedan. Nice Crossover! Thanks for letting me be a part of INFINITISCENE.COM.

I got a question: I love the illustration of the EX35 that GTO Dave posted on the Home Page of the website. I want to mod my EX to look like the illustration. Considering I know nothing about cars, can you guys guide me in the right direction to do this mod?

It looks as though the wheels on the illustration are 20's from an FX35. Will these wheels fit on an 08' EX? I tried asking Infiniti dealerships in my area and they cannot seen to give me a definite answer.

What else do I need to buy and do to make my EX look like the EX illustration by GTO Dave? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to iS............I believe the merchant posted some specs on your other thread.

Welcome to the Scene! Good to have an EX on board. Lets see some modding action!

Hey sh0gun71, welcome to the site.
Cosmetics in the comp are black'd out grill, that's easy with some paint, full window tints, & tinted headlights & tail lights. You can probably crack them open like a lot of us have, & paint the insides. In regards to the stance, You'll need to lower it with a spring change. Not sure if there are parts for it, but it may take the same springs as the new G. Dunno. You should call Scottsdale Infiniti, & speak to Jeff on parts. The Wheels shown, are actually the EX wheels, but I enlarged them, & pushed them out to the sides a bit. I suggest just getting some nice aftermarket wheels with the right offset so you can get it flush. Dont buy FX 20's. They're heavy & well . . kinda suck. You have options, cuz I've seen the EX all modded at the dealer, & it had some really cool wheels on it with a lip. Biggest challenge would be to get thething lowered a couple inches.

Hope ya have it in the garage. I talked to a friend a couple days ago and she told me the weathers not too good over there....:err:

Thanks for the replies. Weather is actually fine here in Houston. Tropical Storm Eduardo was nothing more than a day long thundershower. The new EX is always in the garage - at work and at home. That's one of the reasons I went with Obsidian Black with Graphite interior. Everyone told me that it would be hot, but considering the EX rarely spends time parked outdoors, I am able to live with it.

Handling of the new EX is awesome. Jut imagine G35 meets FX35. It feels and drives like a car and the 297 HP engine provides a lot of power for a small crossover. Gas mileage is something I can't really comment about because I drive 5 miles to work roundtrip. I have never really spent that much on gas.

Thanks for the info gto-dave. NICE PIC by the way! Your pic actually inspired me to get an EX. So there is no way to get that look without lowering? I actually didn't want to go that route, but if I must, I will. I wanted to keep the "STOCK" look of the pic without voiding the manufacturer's warranty. Let's face it, Infiniti's warranty is one of the best in the business and it's nice thing to have on your side for the next 60,000 miles. I thought the bigger wheels would give the look, but I think you will know more about this than me. I will call and chat with Scott at Scottdale Infiniti about the car.

Does anyone know of a dependable and trustworthy shop in Houston, TX that can do the mods to my EX?

Thanks again for the replies! When the mods are done, I will post pics.
