I've had my Infiniti FX45 since 2008 and have done a few DIYs throughout the years. Currently stuck with my passenger window bouncing back down. Took the entire door panel off (metal part included) and now I messed up the regulator and motor because the window glass is completely off track. :(

Also, currently awaiting the arrival of my new driver side door handle! Eek! The plastic literally just ripped off when I went to open it one day and it's been a big pain in my butt. Fingers crossed that I got the right part, as it does have the Smart key system.

Another thing I'd be interested in replacing some of the poor aesthetic features that the car has notoriously had problems with. For me in particular, the cracks in the dash... and I mean the plastic part that surrounds the navigation screen and the air vents. I'm having trouble finding a replacement and my boyfriend suggests calling junk yards. Not likely. :/

Any advice on any of the topics?

I know the first gen folks have had issues with cracked and bubbling dashes. There are some threads about it you should be able to find. At one point Infiniti was replacing them, but I'm afraid I'm ignorant to the terms, or if they still are. There is a ton of info on this site and members are great to add their experiences as well.
