Hi everyone, I am new to the forum. I am also a new Infiniti owner (2007 FX35 sport RWD, tech package) and pretty jazzed about it. The FX35 has 21,XXX miles.

A quick little story about my purchase:

I come from a 2004 Toyota Celica GT (Action Package) which I owned since new, and prior to that a 1986 Nissan 300ZX. Needless to say, this is quite the upgrade.

I bought the FX35 from Sewell Infiniti in Dallas. As part of the negotiations, I had them put on the new Toyo STII Proxes tires 265/50/20. I saw another post on this, and will cetainly provide my thoughts. I owned the car for 6 days, and someone broke into it while I was at LA Fitness exercising. They used a crowbar or prybar and popped the window into the car, damaging the A frame that holds the window. While leaning into the driver's seat window to steal my work computer and camera, the individual pushed the broken glass down into the leather seats. This caused rips in both driver and passenger leather seats. Glass cuts and rubs were also noticeable on the steering wheel, center console, and driver door panel. After $10,500 in damages (I guess Infiniti is VERY proud of their leather :)), I finally got the car back 3 days ago, and I am in my 9th day of ownership.

A side note: The $1,000 Insurance deductible hit the same day the dealership cashed in my down payment.

Anyways I have it back, and I am thoroughly enjoying it. The color is diamond graphite, and the 20" wheels are gorgeous. Due to the replacement of the leather seats from the damage, the car really has the 'new car' smell. I'll throw up some pics once I learn how. Anyways... that's my (short) story, and I look forward to contributing to the site and meeting other FX owners.

Welcome to iS! Where in Dallas were you when it happened? I don't think it's the one near me, and I hope not the one my friends go to in Plano. Ya, mine is from Sewell also, just over a year now. It will be back there sometime soon, whenever they send the tow truck.

The LA Fitness was in Irving off of 114 and MacArthur. They hit another car on the same row as mine.

I live in Farmer's Branch/Irving/Las Colinas area.

Glad your all fixed up and back on the road again:tup:

Welcome to :iS: all things FX:tup::tup:

Welcome to the scene. Sorry to hear about that incident. Glad things got resolved. Enjoy your ride.

Welcome to IS!

At least you know exactly who/what has been on your seat now! Whenever I rent a new place or buy a new house, I replace all the toilet seats/lids for the same reason! :winky:
