Just wanted to say hi and that I'm looking forward to spending more of time over here. I just picked up a 2005 FX35 over the weekend and absolutely love it. I also have a 2004 G35 coupe and I'm also an active member on G35driver.com. I'm very new to this vehicle so I'm looking to learn as much as possible about it.

Thanks everyone!!! Been reading a few threads here and it looks like my first mod will be to get the clear/smoked tail lights. I can't wait!!!!

the dash on black int will start to bubble (warranty)
the black trim around the outside windows will fade (warranty)

other then that, my 05 has been pretty painless so far.

I would suggest using synthetic oil, the drivetrain is very similar to the g35

congrats on the purchase and hope to see you here more often. we have a tight group here :tup:
 
Welcome to the scene. Based on existing consumer reports the car is fairly bullet proof, if there is a re-occurrring issue you will probably hear about it on IS first.......
 
Thanks for the warm welcomes. Ok so I have to ask, I've been reading up on numerous threads here and I'm still not sure. Is there a difference between the clear and smoke tail lights? Some say there is and some say there isn't so I'm not sure. I'm trying to find a set of the smoked ones.

hello and welcome. the clear tails are OEM that came on the sport package 05 and up (maybe o4, not important lol). the smoked are custom ones that people either paint or tint, etc.

Thank you. For some reason I was under the impression that smoked tail lights were OEM as well.
