Hello everyone newbie in the house

Just wanted to introduce miself. My name is Sam I just recently aquired an 03 FX45, and i must say i was a little skeptical about it till i took it home and drove it for a week then i was hooked! i paid $20k for it. it has 40343 as of this morning on the dash clean as a whistle i took my paint film thickness gauge to it and its never been painted before i just ordered the eibach springs for it but i dont think i will be happy with the drop i know im going to want to go lower so im probably going to return them and get H&R springs but needless to say im itchin to customize this thing already! In the next couple of weeks i will be doing the suspension painting my oe wheels black and have to make up my mind on what exhaust im going to go with.In january I will be repainting the FX in jet black since the factory KH3 code contains some yellow and blue in it i want it as black as possible so straight black is the way im going and clearing it with scratch resistant clear that my company makes.thats just a short list for now but like i said I'M ITCHING!!!!!!:wink:

Nice... amazing deal $20k... jeez. I paid almost $28k for my FX35 with 56k miles! But it was only 2yrs old instead of 4...

How much is the repaint gonna cost ya? I've been thinking about it, but my paint is still shiny. Just little things here and there that really annoy me with my factory paint, but I can't really justify a whole new paint job.

thanks for the welcome guys , cube a repaint is basically gonna cost me for the materials i painted cars in a body shop for 12 years and 2 years ago i took a job for Sherwin Williams Automotive Finishes so i get a good deal on the paint and stuff i made alot of friends in the industry that have shops and do the custom thing lucky for me i have a couple spraybooths that i can borrow to spray the truck and im located in New Jersey

Well, atleast I have the hook up when it comes to the twin turbos this coming spring :laugh::laugh::laugh:

From what I have heard the H&R springs ride better then stock. I have the eibach springs and 2 yrs later I really hate the rough ride. It has seemed to get worse over time or maybe I'm just now noticing it more.
My suggestion is to go with the H&R's.
 
thanks for the welcome guys , yeah i've been reading in the scene forums and i think im convinced the H&R's are the way to go i think the intrax would be over doing it , I forgot to mention i also work at Local rim shop (i dont want to advertise) in NJ so if I theres anything i can help you guys with just let me know rims tires HID lights led's exhaust i can get it.

Ill be going with H&R's as well, although im not sure if i can wait until spring :laugh:
probably a nice Christmas gift to myself with some spacers :cool:

Good to have another 45 on the scene.. You got a great deal on your baby. Just take care of it and it will take care of you..
