Heating System Issue (2006 Infiniti FX35)

I have a 2006 Infiniti FX35 with 113,000 Miles recently theheating system has been acting up lately. The car only blows hot air when thecar is in motion and the engine is being accelerated. When the car is idling orcome to a full stop like at a red light the air temperature blowing from thevent decrease after around 1 minute or less. These symptoms occur even afterdriving the car for numerous miles and commuting back and forth from work. TodayI even noticed that the Temperature gauge is taking more time than normal toreach normal operating temperature or the temperature needle reaching themiddle of the gauge. I need my heating system to work 100% since I live in theNortheast and temperature is getting way below the freezing point. Any advices, tips or suggestions regarding this issue would be greatly appreciated.

You could do a couple of things
first try different settings on the fan to see if it's same issue thru out all the levels
do a collect flush/ check air pockets
replace your thermostat with a more accurate unit

If your operating temperature is lower than usual, that may be a thermostat problem. If it was just your heater blowing cold air, that may be more likely an air pocket in your heater core.
