Hey ya'll, I have an 06 FX45 with 215k miles on it, tech package. Heres my issue,
So this started about 2 months ago when my heater blower would not come on when it was cold outside, under 40 degrees, usually after the car sat for more than 4 hours. It would start randomly working usually within 5-15 minutes of driving. Sometimes when I hit speed bumps or rough road. I replaced the fan motor from rock auto after checking all the fuses. The new fan does the same thing just has a stronger force of air at all settings (a good thing).
Today it started doing something very strange. If its working and I open any of my doors the fan will stop. Close the door the fan starts back up, its exactly when the dash door warning light goes on and off. Thinking it could be crossed wires somewhere or a faulty BCM? Thoughts?
