Hearing fan sound on FX35...

I am new to this site and plan on being on here a lot...so Hello everyone, my name is Brian if you couldnt tell from my username.

I just bought a 2004 FX 35 with 52k miles on it. I have been hearing a buzzing sound when the air is on. I was not sure if this should be as loud as it is. It isnt extremely loud, but is very noticeable when it is quiet. Do you notice this with yours?

Could be a number of things. Check your cabin air filter. If its dirty, your fans are working harder than normal and could cause your noise.

Also, is this on the inside or the outside? If it's outside, your could have a bad thermostat causing your cooling fans to run all the time..(just happened to me)

Thanks, this is a great site! I can hear it inside and outside. I realized that I actually hear it when the air is off too.

Then its probably your thermostat making your fans run all the time.

Its normal. I went to the dealership cause I got worried. All fx do it while the ac's running. It doesnt stay on the entire time the ac is on and yes it is noticeable because it almost drwons out the exhaust note.

mine has also been doing it when the ac is off. think i should bring it in?

Hey guys how easy is it to remove the fan for the heat / ac? mine squeels like crazy as if it needs some lube / bearings are gone.
