Headlight wiring

I have a quick question. I just noticed I have both my passenger headlight and fog light(HID also) out. I switched out the bulbs for the headlights from side to side and it's still the same so I'm assuming it's electrical. I checked the fuses by the battery figuring that since both passenger lights were out they must be on the same circuit although that doesn't make much sense. Fuses are all good. Are both the headlight and driving light on the same circuit or did I happen to get lucky and have both passenger ballasts go at the same time? I plan on getting the multi tester out in the morning to test power to the ballasts but was wondering if anyone had any info to give me a direction. Thanks guys

As far as I'm aware the fuse for the fogs is a common fuse for both sides. At least for the headlights, you should be able to swap out the ballasts to make sure that's the issue. For the fogs, you could unplug the hid ballast and plug in the original bulb to make sure that the line is still active to put the blame on that ballast.

Wasn't sure if there was a trigger wire off of the headlight to a relay for the driving lights but that would seem overly complex to have each side wired separately from each other. Thanks sir21

I got an extra ballast at home so I'll try swap it out and see what happens. Good call on plugging in the stock fog bulb since I can reach the plug through the engine bay real easily rather than opening up the bottom cover. Thanks smijus
