Headlight Mods! (TSX Clear Lenses, Black-out, Angel Eyes) **Pic Heavy!**

Wow.. what a blast from the past. I remember when rookie, Randy, DR2k and I pioneered this about 7 years ago.. omg. So good to see that other members are still doing this... Don't let me get started on how Turbocad took it to another level..

AWSOME DIY

^^ Thanks!!

This is how I mounted the switch I used to control the angel eyes:

I am currently doing this mod. Lights are apart in my garage as we speak. What is the best way to properly reseal the lights? Do I try to clean out remaining sealant or is that to be used for the reseal? Will I need to heat the sealant back with with heat gun to reseal? Thanks for the help.

Don't remove the remaining sealant. You need to reheat the same sealant and while its still hot you need to push the front and back housings together tightly. Once the lights are resealed, just for extra security, run some silicone in the joint area and let that dry completely.

This is an amazing DIY. Very descriptive. It’s too bad no one has made a video of this. I recently started doing this but it’s hard to take a video by myself. One thing I might add is, you don’t have to take the projector apart to cut that front shield off. I had adaptive headlights and was scared to take mine apart so once I removed the lens, I was able to fit my dremel in the space and cut the shield off. Yes it took some time but I wasn’t confident in taking everything apart. That and the fact it’s my only vehicle so I had to work fast but carefully. If I didn’t think it could be cut off in such a small space I wouldn’t have done it but I managed to pul it off. Your tutorial was def helpful. Thanks man!
