Headlight - HID xenon kit or bulb?

I'm a newbie trying to change the color of my headlights
I have a ex35 with very dim lights that appear to be halogen.
To get bright white headlights, am I supposed to get a HID xenon conversion kit (below) or just lightbulbs?

If your current headlight is HID and you wanted to change the color of your bulb.

If your current headlight is standard halogen (H11 bulb) you will need a kit similar to the one you found, but be sure you choose the proper size. The EX Halogen is H11. or this one. http://www.theretrofitsource.com/product_info.php?products_id=3955
