I was wondering if anybody else here has problems with the CDs not reading well on the fx35 (model 2003). The songs just stop on some songs and it does this for almost any CD. I know its not the CD cause i've used brand new ones and it still does the samething. Anybody have suggestions on this??

Yes - your CD player is going out - I'm on my third player since 2004. If under warranty, they will replace. If not - you are out of luck, brother.

I found that mine started to fail in colder weather first. Then after a while it would never work at all.

My third CD player is starting to do the same thing now.

darn man, mine acts up in cold weather also, but in TX cold lasts a week only, hopefully i will be fine. :winky:

Mine has been acting up in cold weather since I got the FX a little over two years ago... Still works fine 99% of the time (knock on wood). I've had cd players in other cars do the same. I always thought it was due to the cd itself attracting condensation from the temperature change...

Mine was doing this and I got a laser lens cleaner, problem solved, like they said though, our cd players have about had it. The lens cleaner fixes it for a while though, it did on mine anyway
