Hi guys~
I got a problem with brake lights. Is anybody knows how to fix it?

Right now "slip/ vdc off lights turned on and brake lights out (not working).

no red brake light at the same time with the slip & vdc lights.

Is this fuse problem or brake pads or rotors? what should i do for that??

please help me guys~~~

Are you saying that your actual brake lights on the rear of your FX aren't working, or that the little red "brake" indicator light in the instrument cluster isn't working? If I'm understanding this correctly, your VDC and SLIP indicators are also constantly illuminated? Are you sure that these symptoms arose concurrently? What was the situation that caused the VDC and SLIP indicators to light?

at first check out the sensor in the pedal. It comes out when you press the pedal. Maybe it just stuck in open/closed position.
I wouldn't connect these two issues. The light comes on when you press the pedal and than the signal from the switch goes to the rear light module ( located in the trunk) and then to lights.

Before the slip/vdc off lights turns on every things ok ( break lights comes on) but when slip lights on break lights not working (break lights and trunk light on top.

it is really dangerous! I had the same last week and one guy driving by shout that had lost my brake lights other wise i wouldn't know about. Check the pedal and fuses. If you are going to drive to the dealer ask somebody for assist and drive behind you. ( but not to close ;) Good luck!

I had got a same problem on my FX35(S50). I checked brake pedal switch and noticed that there are some dusts on the contact point in the switch. After cleaning it, brake lamp worked properly and VDC/SLIP lamp disappeared.
Please see my Home page from my Profile(Sorry it's witten by Japanese...)

Guys~ my brake lights are blinking too~!! so fast blinking!!

well a few things to look at are the fuses.
brake fluid level and that module that is in the back of the fx in cargo compartment under you will have to remove the plastic and stuff. location on the pdriver side. it is a little black box the part is cheap just open it and see if it is burnt up. I had a similar problem but i went a try to remedy the solution by prchasing that part and it turned out to be a damaged wire which the dealer fixed i got fed up I still have the module as well as that is brand new.

Sorry, I can't post link and picture. Please access to this adress after http;

Brake switch is located on the base of the brake pedal. Remove and disassemble brake switch and clean switch contact. After that, brake lamp works properly and VDC/Slip lamp disappeard.

I have this exact same problem! Although in mine, even when the two lights come on the brake lights come on. They just either flicker or have a delay.

I posted a few days ago regarding this issue and tried Fu-g's method but it didn't seem to fix my problem using a grease that I had around so I just ordered the grease that Fu-g suggested from Amazon. I'll update the status once I receive the grease and re-clean the switch. I will also check the module in the trunk bay and see if that's alright.

It seems like all of us experiencing the problem except for Fu-g (me, blackrhino, sirtrojan) have an 06 model. BTW I called the dealer and my service manager told me to bring it in and he'll take a look at in. Unfortunately I'm not going back home in another month or so and there is no dealer near by (Charlottesville, VA). Although my warranty expired last month, he said he'll have a technician take a look and see if he can help me (financing-wise).

FX45 beast: when I bring the car in to the dealer what should I tell them to look for? Last time I brought it in, they just pressed on the brake a few times and couldn't duplicate the problem. They just told me to come back when the problem comes back on. . .:embarrassed:
