Has anyone used lasfit retrofit kit with a 2017 qx70

I was looking at adding this D2S/D2R LED Conversion Kit for Nissan & Infiniti - Plug & Play | Pro S, has anyone else installed this.
Do you have to remove the bumper for Installing it ?
I know with regular non projector housings, the LED bulbs are much brighter.
Is it a better idea( lot less work) to do a HID bulb replacement than the LED upgrade.
Any advice folks is highly appreciated.

I've never used an LED conversion but I am not sure how well an LED bulb would work in a housing meant for an HID bulb. It has to do with how light is reflected and refracted. HID bulbs give off light in all directions whereas an LED might not hit all the angles and either give too much or too little in some areas. True LED headlights are built very different so I'd have to say while it's cool, it might not work the greatest.

Aside from that, LEDs produce heat that needs to be dissipated directly from the LED and not through the air inside the headlight just like incandescent or HID bulb. This kit uses a heatsink and a fan to cool the LED. Now the question remains how long will that fan last. Does it hold up to sand, dirt, salt (if in salt belt) and for how long. What happens if the fan gets stuck from debris? does it turn off or does it burnout. If the bulb burns, what's their warranty and can you buy a new one or a set, how much is that?

I've personally just upgraded to better HID bulbs as I get away from having to worry about what I mentioned above.

In terms of accessing the ballast to install this kit, you'll need to swap the ballast (round puck looking thing) and the bulb. First you have to remove your airboxes completely.

I have had Lasfit LED bulbs in my 2017 QX70S for 4 years now. Lots brighter and instant bright light. They are great.

Thank you, i am leaning towards doing it but will wait till it gets warmer, i changed the halogens for LED in my Honda van and difference was phenomenal, i wasnt so sure about the Infinity as it has projector lenses, but your reply is all i was looking for to make this transition.

So you did not do a retrofit, just changed the bulbs, did you not get any errors ?

No retrofit necessary, it was a direct replacement, removed existing HIDs and install new D2S LEDs - done!

Regarding the d2s retrofit kit, to switch the factory HID to LED is not plug and play, it needs to cut wires and splice the new wires in.

Why would you need to cut any wires? In my last reply to you I've mentioned that with Auxito it was direct replacement, no cutting, no drilling - NOTHING. But it is up to you, of course.
