Just wondering if anyone has ever experimented with porting the intake maifold versus buying an aftermarket intake? I am farily new to the Infiniti Scene, I sold my 2003 Cobra (469 rwhp) and bought my 05 FX35. It wasn't uncommon to send the supercharger out to be ported. I have searched the site and didnt have any luck with finding any threads about this. While the porting typically won't give the same results of a new aftermarket intake, it would be cheaper. Let me know what you all think. :flag:

There are definite benefits to flow on the vk manifold. The vq I am not familiar with and haven't seen much on iS reading vq porting as most of the modders going "internal" normally head down the FI path for specific power gains. You might find info on Z forums, possibly Nico or Alloy.

Since you have a 1st gen 35, just get the MREV2 from Motordyne. Combine that with a plenum spacer or replacement upper plenum like the Crawford someone listed and you're good to go. The MREV2 is basically a modded lower intake manifold that is dyno proven.
