hi guyz,

My 2004 babe was kissed with my garage door accidently, so I used to collisionwheel.com to repair it. Was damned!!! They offer lifetime warranty, but I DONOTwant to work with them again.

I wish to totally replace my LH fender and front bumper cover. I think it's good time because there are so many little dents, chips and scratched on front bumper cover.

I might have two options.

1) go to google, search only primed fender and bumper. bring them to bodyshop and paint them

2) go to google, search patined fender and bumper.

Which one is better? Is there any chance to mismatch color with hood and the other RH fender?

Any suggestions will be appreciated!!!!

Your not going to find a pre-painted fender on line as most are only primered and shipping will probably cost almost as much as the part. But this is the way to go unless you can get it cheap local somewhere because matching the paint to the body will not be easy and even less so if you try and find one already painted online.

I found a couple of companies providing pre-painted fender and bumper. They are using OEM color-code to paint it. Can it be notably different? I hope I have a clean FX! =)

Grossly looking at it I would think you can't really tell but probably in certain angels and sun reflections you would probably see some faint differences.

Just curious what you ended up doing? I have similar issues with rock chips and a scratch and have been keeping the black vinyl bra on mostly when traveling but want new clean look.

I would think you are going to want to get the paint on the fender (and possibly the bumper where it joins up to the the other fender) feathered in. Your car is aged enough that the color will have faded, IMO just purchasing painted sections and installing them you will see a difference.....Personally I'd find a well recommended body shop and have it done for you. If they are cool you may be able to locate the parts and bring them to them but some shops want to purchase their own materials, partly for their mark-up but mainly for quality control.
