Has anyone hardwired a 2nd generation FX? I'm looking to run a wire from the fuse box to a suction cup held escort along with a smart cord.
I have an Escort 9500ix with a smartcord that has a remote mute button.

I posted a stealthcord diy under the second gen diy section. Check it out it's a very easy mod. And about the 9600ix yes u can use the stealth cord as u just need to unplug watever u have in the power slot right now and plug the stealth cord in. But u do lose the remote control you might have with the hardwire kit. No big deal IMO. I though I would miss not having it but interaction with my 9600i is very minimal now that I have my regular route's false alarm all map. Be aware that having it mount up by the rearview decrease gps sensitivity and u will need to remap things u have lock ou before if you had the dectetor down low right now.
