Happy Infiniti FX45 owner

I recently sold my car and purchased a used 2003 Infiniti FX45 with 95k miles on it. I was frustrated with being unable to find a used car that had maintenance records, and being a full-time student yet also a car enthusiast, I am unable to purchase a new car at this point in life. I understand that this is not the most fitting car for a student, but I consider myself a car fanatic and therefore I don't feel this was a bad decision. People spend money on all kinds of hobbies! To me, this car is not a status symbol, but a source of joy and learning. I will be proud to drive this car up until its last mile of life. :good:
Anyway, I found my FX with low miles for its year and extensive maintenance records. It was owned by an old couple in a dry climate (St. George, Utah) and both the interior and exterior are in excellent condition. My only complaint thus far is that it has a slight old-lady-perfume smell to it, although that gets better every day. I also replaced the air cabin filter with the help of some Youtube videos and that has seemed to help a bit.
I am smitten with my new (old) car and am determined to keep her in tip-top shape. I have scoured the internet for information about common issues/maintenance requirements for this vehicle, and found this forum along with some others. I am excited to use this as a resource in the future.

Welcome to :iS2: Jillian. My 03 FX45 has 195,000 miles and still plenty of fun and power. Have fun with it. :good:

Welcome Jillian , it sounds like you found a great ride.

Welcome to :iS::good::good:
Did you use the carbon activated cabin filter when you changed it out?

Welcome Jillian! I had a 2004 FX45 and it was extremely reliable. Parts were relatively easy to source and almost any mechanic can work on the vehicle.

Your 2003 with 95k miles thats pretty low mileage for the vehicle. Hope you enjoy the 45 as much as I did!
