Handy_Andy's Mini Meets

It's my "new" project car and its definitely a new learning experience. It was a small meet, just the four of us, but still a great time as usual!
haha, I was right. Neat project car Andrew, I look forward to what you will do with it, I know whatever you do it will be a great looking ride when you are done.

The agenda for the September meet has not been finalize yet. Here is the address for your reference 2131 S. Archer Ave Chicago IL 60616.

Is this the location of the parking lot we were at before in china town right by the restaurant? We should start putting a tentative schedule together to get feedback from participants...

I will be checking the knobs first on the Benz.

Hahaha, we were just talking about them knobs at the meet.

That is the address to the Phoenix Restaurant (The one on the second floor overlooking Archer Ave.)
This is the restaurant that we had Dim Sum during our Jun meet. http://caichicago.com/

Justin is coming down from Milwaukee for having his sub-frame slotted for the SPC Performance camber bolt kit install at my place. Anyone itching for a little meet is welcome to swing by. Let's say we start around 9:30 - 10:00 on Sunday Aug 4th.

Speaking of that spc kit: I started out with a dremel and after destroying a few filing/sanding bits, eventually found a round hand held metal file to be WAY more effective.

I use a pneumatic angle die grinder with a 3/8 grinding bit to speed thing up a bit. Tried the a round hand file and it takes too long.

Yep, Justin front coilover has the "Coil-bind" syndrome!

LOL, look out Andrew, Jonas is after those nice knobs of yours

Haha, I took the radio out for now.

Nice pics ...that Benzino is tight Andrew !

Nice project Andrew.

Thanks guys, the project is coming along really nicely, even since the meet. I think I should start my own restoration thread on IS now. I don't even post on the MB forums, lol! :eatsleepis:

Wonder, could Justin essentially get a replacement from Kido?

Well, the warranty for the Coilovers is 12-month. No free replace that's for sure. We can always get a replace from Kido, but will be out our pocket. Planed to take it apart, clean and grease it and go from there.
