Halo headlights

I've seen these and they look good, in my opinion if your going to pull the front end off of the car and bake the headlights go with the LEDs. They are about the same price and the LEDs will probably offer more reliability, if the ccfls ever fail you have to pull the whole front end again. Of course it could also happen with LEDs as well, but again good reputable LEDs will give you better reliability. Just my opinion, someone else may chime in with more detailed info.

They look good, but you can see on the bottom of each ring there is some light missing, this is where the loop starts and ends.
You will not have that with these LED version as they make a full ring of light, and as Renhalt mentioned i agree as well that the LED versions will be more reliable and longer lasting as these.
Will be a PITA to remove everything again to change them out if they fail.

This is where i will go for unless i find something better/newer:

LED's are a better option, but keep in mind they fail too. With CCFL, if something fails, it's almost always the inverter. That's outside the headlight so you can take off the front end and just replace that. If an LED fails, it's usually one of the LED's themselves; you see it on some cheaper LED rings where 2 or 3 LED's fail. If that happens, you have to take off your front end then take your headlight apart and replace the entire thing.

Only advantage of CCFL is a more uniform ring, LED's are still individual lights. CCFL used to have more color options, but LEDs have pretty much caught up there. I think they're both rated for similar lifespans. Having said all that, I'd still pick LED.

I have the Flashtech rings and they recommended the jb weld two part epoxy as well. That's what I used with zero issues, you have to be careful what you use as some epoxies or glues give off a gas that will turn its surroundings white. IE, crazy glue or super glue. That's why law enforcment uses it to pull finger prints of things that cannot be seen with the naked eye.

Some people also use a tiny copper wire to tie the rings on to ensure that they're never ever come off. But jb weld will probably be more than enough. And to tie in to Renhalt's point, make sure that everything is cured before you reseal. Paint, glue, etc. Some people go as far as putting the assemblies into the oven at low heat to gas off all of the stuff. Otherwise it can haze your headlights. But leaving them out in the sun for a day should probably be enough.

Somewhat related, on a previous car we rebuilt the package shelf for a stereo and wrapped it in upholstery vinyl. After reinstalling, the vinyl heated up in the sun and gassed off a nice film onto the rear window. That stuff was almost impossible to remove without destroying the defroster. So be careful with any chemicals.

Ok, so that's the stuff to use for this.
I can imagen that if you close the headlight before the glue is fully cured there will be a white haze inside the headlight....
But how i understand this JB weld does not leave a white haze at all?

No white haze using JB Weld on all the those headlights I modded. I usually close up the headlight a couple hours later after the glue on the rings
