So I was reading up on changing those vent things on the side of the FXs. Most of them came in plastic but sell the chromed out ones for like 200$ i remember right. If i took chrome spray paint to it would it look odd? i never used chrome spray paint before and not sure what it looks like but sounds like it be a cheaper alternative. The chrome vents look really nice and shiny when i saw them on this new 2010 black fx. Paint was black and everything thats usually chrome was chrome and all the plastic stuff we usually see was chrome even the rack on top it looked high class.

Please do not do that. The rattle can chrome will look like junk, especially on a newer car. It's more like a shiny silver and won't look good or even. Maybe, maybe a shot from a professional spray gun, but won't look like real nickel chrome.

i will give you $100 to make your FX look like this:

Please don't do that. It'll look like that drug dealer crap with all the chrome all over it. It's bad enough that are rides come with some chrome in the first place lol. I'm glad I have the silver plastic side vents instead.

ALSA makes an OK chrome paint system using the rattle can, but it's not perfect by any means. Good luck, personally I would leave it factory, but do what makes you happy that it is all that matters.

LOL sorry didn't see your link above, but were on the same page, that's awsome!

If you MUST have them chrome, and you don't mind looking chumpish, spend the $200 for the new chrome ones or you can probably find a plater to do it professionally for ~$100.
