H&R springs now available from allsprings.com!!

That's 09+ FX35 right, not just 09?

I'm sure we can get at least 5 people up on that GB..

yeah sorry, I fixed it. 5 people .. easily.. I would start a list but mine has already shipped out and will get it Wednesday and probably going to get it installed that night lol.

Where do you recommend having these installed if I decide to get them?

I live in a small town and there aren't many shops around. Is it straight forward enough to have it done at Midas or a similar chain? Or should I wait until I can travel somewhere to have them done?

It's tough to recommend a place to get them installed. I personally do most of the maintenance and installs myself but something like this I would just have one of my buddies do since half of them are good mechanics and work at reputable local shops.
I don't think its too hard to install but would def recommend a professional doing it. I know that the backs are easy, its the fronts that are gonna take a little while. If I were you I would take the extra drive to a shop that focuses more on performance parts / higher end vehicles than your local midas.
Just my opinion.

any news jmess86? can't wait :D

Mine got bumped up a day so ill be receiving them tomorrow and will most definitely try to get them installed this weekend. I got to give allsprings a call and see if they can put in a word to h&r to get the camber arms made. Also got to get the GB together. I'll update tomorrow once I get off the phone with them.

Talked to Kevin @ allsprings.com. He's going to call H&R today and see how many sets they have if you guys still want to do a "GB" they will be $242 shipped to 48 states only. Also he said their is nothing out as far as camber arms to help the adjustments out for the 2nd Gens.

Thanks for checking that out Jesse.
I have not found anything for camber arms either for our 2nd Gens to correct our after-drop camber problems.
So it looks like my Eibachs are coming off:frown:

EDIT: Jesse I talked to Eibach about the camber and they referred me to SPC http://www.spcperformance.com/ , I called them and nothing was available and nothing is in the works, the fellow at SPC is passing this on to SPC tech, but unless they get lots of calls, nothing will be done. Their toll free # is 1-800-525-6505.

Okay I'll give them a call in a bit and see if I can give them a push to make them. Its too bad your taking them off, looks so much better dropped. I don't drive that much b/c I have a beater s10 and a bike to use so I don't think the negative camber will be a big issue to me.
- Kevin emailed me and said H&R still have 5 in stock so if anyone wants a set make a "Group Buy Thread.

-- Spoke to a lady at SPC and she wrote my info down as well. The more people that call the more of a chance they'll produce camber arms.

I remember SPC being one of the only companies doing the camber kits, I'm gonna try to contact a company here in socal to see if they are willing to maybe do a small custom order of camber arms for us

I called and added my voice to those requesting camber arm kits from SPC. Please, anyone who has springs or plans on getting them please give them a call. I'd suggest leaving your name and number so they don't think it's the same person(s) calling multiple times :)

My springs arrive tomorrow as well, and hoping to install this weekend. We'll see!

H&R's just came in

I couldn't wait till tomorrow or Saturday to put them on so I ended up trying it with my buddy tonight. I have a bunch of quality tools, nice air compressor at my house and a nice spring compressor at my parents body shop so I knew I had everything I needed. Out of a scale 1-10 10 being the hardest of doing it yourself I would say a 7. Only reason I say that is because it was my first time using a spring compressor and you gotta be real careful using them. The rears took me 30 minutes total (really easy). As for the front, the struts aren't bad to take out, a lot easier than what I had thought. Its just tricky getting the struts dismounted from the spring. The nut at the top (17mm) can be a little crusty so its best to spray some pb (lubricant) in there to help free the nut when taking it off. Other than that its pretty straight forward and can slap everything back together and make sure everything is together and torqued if you have specs. I just snugged it up good and torqued my wheels. Overall very happy with the looks and quality of the springs. Can't wait to get it aligned and rip down some back roads.
Pic's below, not the greatest b/c its late and I'm half asleep. But I'll take better ones by the weekend.

Pic 1 shows h&r spring (vs) stock rear spring. 2 is the back all together with the springs on with stock height on the front. 3 is showing the camber on the right rear wheel with no alignment done "yet"..

Pic 1 shows the front passenger side mostly disassembled to take the strut assembly out. 2 shows the h&r spring with the strut assembly/stock spring. 3 shows the vehicle completely together and dropped with all H&R springs on. 4 is just another pic similar to 3, I'm just standing up instead.
It may not look low in the pics and I wish I took before pics when it was at stock height.... but it a lot different and sits perfect.

WOW THAT LOOKS AMAZING! and OMFG WTF REAR CAMBER! LOL the drop looks PERFECT, more obvious and noticable compared to the Eibachs. I would jump on the group buy RIGHT NOW if it wasn't for the camber. What to do....

To be honest i don't see any notable difference in drop between your H&R's and mrlerry's or GEE35FX's Eibachs. Maybe they take some time to settle more. Anyway it looks great and the rear negative camber doesn't look that bad...
A bit off topic...what brake rotors do you use?

With the 1st gens, the H&R drop isn't much different than the Eibach drop visually. It's the ride quality that sets them apart.
I also don't see much in the way of rear camber. If I wasn't looking for it I probably wouldn't even notice that they're out of spec, if in fact they are even out of spec...

The drop looks nice though, and great work on the diy install!

But in the 2nd gen it is... And i tought that it will be a visual difference at least.
From specs: Eibach drop : 1" all around (1.12" measured after they settled by GEE35FX)
H&R : 1.3" Front 1.2" Rear

Uhh, so that .08-.18" is the "not much difference" I mentioned between the two spring manufacturers...

Oooo, i thought that the drop difference between eibach's and H&R's is only for the 2nd gen...:tongue (2):
