H&R or Eibach

honestly, if I was restricted to only an out of the box spring swap & no other suspension mods, I'd probably choose eibachs myself, even knowing about the spring fatigue issues. they will be lower & handle better out of the box all else being equal. this is kind of like someone deciding to add FI to there car, even though they know they are probably shortening the lifespan of the engine & drivetrain... a case where the benefits out weight the drawbacks.

there are other suspension mods that can be done to be able to use H&R's & still get the more aggressive lowering & stiffness & handling to match & even surpass the eibachs too, but that takes custom work & for the average guy who just wants to give something to his mechanic & say "here, put these in" or even just something that maybe they can install themselves, eibachs are the sportier choice out of the box, hence there popularity & why many are fans of the eibachs, even despite known fatigue issues...

Thank you john. Makes some more sense now. I went with the h&r as I didn't know that the eibachs settled lower. I just read the sites n went with which one stated were lower. Also, the other Infiniti forum didn't really like to help too much. Too many cranky Internet tuff guys telling me to search when I barely knew what I was looking for. Guess that's why I'm still at the scene n can't remember what the other site was called.

Also back when everyone was getting eibach's a few years ago H&R's were not readily available so most went with eibach's as they were usually in stock everywhere. Even now H&R's are a hit and miss with stock issues. I think the distrubution would have been much more even if both came out at the same time and easily available.
