I have searched the forum for the difference in wheel poke with the H&R lowering spring setup and cannot seem to locate any info on the topic. Does anybody on here know how many mm the wheels get pulled inward on the H&R drop? With a stock spring setup and my new 22x10.5 wheels with +40mm offset and 5mm spacers on 4 corners, it looks like I am going to poke out just a bit beyond flush. I was hopeful that the H&Rs would pull it back in enough to be flush.

If you wanted more negative camber, you would need to drop it lower then that spring & shock will allow.
Let's see what it look like when you get those 5's on. You can always roll rears if it rubs. easy.

No, definitely not looking to go way out of camber. Will have to see how she sits once the new spacers and shoes are on next week.

I don't think anyone has measured for H&R specifically, but typically wheels will get pulled in 5-6mm for every degree of negative camber. It depends on the diameter of the wheel. So if you can find out how much additional static camber comes from an H&R drop, you'll be close. But H&R drop is pretty mild even on 2nd gen, so I don't think you're going to see an extra degree of camber which is what you would need to account for 5mm spacers.

Don't overthink this though, 5mm is nothing. It will be very hard to visually tell the difference unless you were slammed and your tires were very close to the fender. With a few inch gap, you won't be able to tell the difference.

You and me both!

Right on...the wait for the spacers is killing me. Was trying to find a local shop that stocks 'em...no dice. What's another week of waiting? H&Rs getting ordered next.

Thanks Zebra - I actually ordered the spacers already, should be here by the weekend. Will you price match on the H&R springs (shipped price)? If so, I'll give you the biz on those.

I can get those springs brand-new from thmotorsports for $247.27, shipped. I have to order soon though, the discount they offered expires soon. Let me know.

I've ordered H & R sport lowering springs for my '16 QX70. Plus adding the H & R 20mm spacers. However, a mechanic neighbor most concerned about the effect of the springs while keeping the stock shocks and struts on. I've done too much research to have this things go badly. Also, this is a daily driver, mostly highway miles. I'm currently experiencing too many 'jolting' bumps out there with the OE 20" wheels. I added new set of Bridgestone Alenza Plus (touring) tires which softened ride a little. Any insights appreciated as love this car (inside and out), but hoping to soften some and fill out the wheel well flush with the spacers....thanx!

This is why I tell everyone to go with coilovers. You can adjust height & ride quality while saving a 100lbs at the same time. & the springs will match the shocks as intended. Many guys run spring setup mod only, & it will still handle and look better than stock, but you get what you get

What coilovers would you recommend given my goals above? Otherwise, since just lowering 1-1.2”was just going to go with H&R sport springs and keep shocks, struts as is. Thanks
