H&R Lowering Springs 2nd Gen Install Help

Does anyone have/know where I can find a detailed DIY instruction for installing H&R lowering springs on a 2nd gen? Maybe a video or something with pictures? Looking to throw them on with a friend later today. I've heard its not too hard but this isn't something I've done before so im a little nervous. Don't want to mess anything up. Any pointers, tips, things I will need, etc., anything helps! Thanks all
 
I'd love to hear how this worked out. Did you have to do other modifications? How the ride is compared to before- as well has how much real world lowering resulted. [My FX50 sits rather high & my wife is unhappy about climbing up to get in vs simply getting in our old FX45. I feel no need to "improve" the suspension but having it sit a bit lower would be welcome.

It went well! It was actually pretty easy (as long as you have proper tools). The rear was a breeze - the front was a bit more involved but still not too bad. Didn't have to do any other mods (I put on H&R spacers at the same time) and the ride is pretty similar to stock, but I think its not as stiff or rough as OEM. It's a bit softer (which I like) and still takes corners very composed. Was also able to get my alignment in spec.

As far as how much lower, its not a drastic difference. It looks ALOT better than stock, but the rear sits a little higher than the front. 2 finger gap up front and 3 in the rear. This weekend I'm installing the FX50 Akebono bigger brakes and I have been debating modifying the rear upper spring seat/isolator to get another 0.5 inches of drop to even out the look a bit. You could lower it a lot more with coilers, but to get your alignment right you would also have to get aftermarket upper control arms front and rear in order to adjust.
 
@Nnamdi, Have you get your alignment done after the H&R springs install? I have H&R springs and Megan control arm in order to get the cam within specs.

I did - although I still hate myself for waiting as long as I did. Crazy how fast your tires can be eaten up from a bad alignment just over a month or two!! But anyway yes I was able to get the alignment close enough to factory specs, although I plan on getting those control arms eventually anyway

No problem! Here are some updated pics after I did the brake install. I did modify the rear upper spring isolator (essentially bought replacement lower isolators and installed them in place of the stock top ones; some people on here shave down the stock isolator instead but I wanted to keep the stock ones just incase) and I was able to get the rear lower! Drives just as it did before, no new NVH! Happy with how it turned out. See below

Nnamdi: Thanks again. This information is a great help to me. Now I'm going to have to get off my duff and resolve my wife's "entry" problem. Actually, I think it looks perfect. Not silly low but much more of "a unit".
