GTSPEC Rear Tie Brace Will Not Fit the FX50/QX70 5.0

Just a heads up for those 5.0 owners who may be considering installing GTSPEC frame braces. As the title states, the rear tie brace will not fit the 5.0. For one, the rear steering servo motor is in the way (rear steering and that sport mode thing are useless gimmicks, imho). Secondly, the brace does not mount flush against the lower rear control arm rendering all camber adjustments impossible. And lastly, if reversed it still does not clear the ARK exhaust.

Something tells me that I am the first person to have tried installing this particular brace and that GTSPEC is unaware of the problem. I have already sent an email.

Dam man that sucks but great info. I think you are def the first person who has tried to install this brace on a 5.0.
 
Yeah I was bummed about it. Look for it in the For Sale section soon!
 
Did you powder coat the braces or just painted them? I have my 2 point lateral brace being powder coated, going to pick it up this week.
 
They told me it wouldn't fit when I contacted them about it ~3 years ago, but since then they started running them on their site as being interchangeable.. I figured they changed the design. This is why I only have the front STB (plus I didn't want to add all of them again like on my last car because it made the ride too stiff)
