***GTSPEC Front Brace(s) Group Buy***

***Important Update***

Ok, so after some deliberating between us at Z1 and GTspec we have negotiated the number of pieces needed for this group buy to commence down to 30 total pieces. So in layman's terms instead of needing 40 pieces (20 of each brace) we need 30 pieces in total (it could be 15 of each or 27 of one and 3 of the other, etc) in order for this group buy to be a go. I know I've gotten a lot of IMs from individuals who have informed me of their intentions to place their orders for this group buy prior to the deadline. Put here is the most current list of paid orders:

....and we're not even half way there. Looks like we'll all be getting refunds. I may as well put the money towards some springs as it's already been spent anyways!

Yea this isn't gonna happen (what happen?) I may just put it towards the Samco Radiator Hoses......but I do need a wide angle lens for my camera gear.:squigglemouth:
 
I think the price scared people off. First set was just under 200, but the second set was almost 500. I spent too much money of wheels and tires this month... Wife basically said "no." :thumpdown:
 
I'm in the wings waiting, I'd def go for this if there looked to be any hope here... but would rather not just make payment just to tie up the cash for no reason.... I wonder if any others here are in a similar position, although I highly doubt anywhere near enough to make this deal a go...
 
for me it wasn't the price, I actually thought it was pretty reasonable... I just didn't like the attitude from the vendor. Customer service is everything when it comes to business. I get an attitude from a waitress? I don't go back to that restaurant... no matter how good the food was... A lot of you probably didn't see the drama that went on, and this post will most likely be deleted as well, but I've been biting my tongue and holding back for weeks now... but frankly? I don't give a damn anymore (on this subject).

Exactly why I went from interested to waiting, because I have a big problem with giving somebody (theoretically) $240, having them dish out $80 and sitting on the other $160, and then have me waiting over a month while they sit on that same $160, and then finally pay their other half of about $80. That's exactly how I saw this happening and didn't like it, not to mention the fact that I didn't see 40 (later reduced to 30) of this product on order with these terms I already didn't agree with even if it was a deal for 1 bar.

I have no problem with the pricing, it's very competitive and fair. Your post will not get deleted for simply giving an opinion. We have a Products & Reviews section where this type of response would be more appropriate, as that section is set up not only for positive reviews but the negative as well, but since this post does pertain to this particular group buy it shouldn't be a problem. It's quite clear that it isn't going through...
 
just so there are no misunderstandings, the Group Buy is moving forward as planned and on schedule - and this is based on my own discussions with GT Spec as late as yesterday. So no one has anything to worry about, those that ordered and committed will be receiving them according to plan
 
So are you saying that there is no minimum now?

If there's absolutely no minimum required, I'm in... otherwise let me know before I send a payment :tongue:
 
GT Spec and I agreed yesterday that those who were kind enough to follow through and commit to the first round to get these off the ground should be rewarded with the braces. We ironed out the details yesterday to make this happen on schedule, so everything is a go. In fact, I'm even throwing in a little something extra for those who get the full front combo (it's a surprise...it will be delivered with your braces!), just as a thank you to those who moved ahead. Without guys willing to commit, new stuff like this for such a limited market might not see the light of day, and at the end of it all, we want to help bring such new products to fruition.

The timetable is still the same - people have until the 1st to commit/pay for the initial batch. The first run done will be enough to satisfy those who committed/paid. Beyond that, there is no schedule set forth for a second round and there will not be any further group buys offered on the item - so act now or forever hold your peace :)

I'm not sure if I said it before, but I really want to take the time to thank all the guys over at Z1 who made this possible. Its nice to know there are people out there who are as passionate as we are about this kind of thing. I'll be looking forward to receiving my shipment and discovering my prize. Thanks again man.
 
Gerard - I appreciate the kind words, but no thanks are needed. This stuff is a 2 way street, and I appreciate those who keep their head above the fray and out of the drama - this is just my small way of showing that appreciation
