GTSPEC braces

Hello all,
I have 05 FX35 AWD.
I was wondering how those GTSPEC braces will perform when everything is installed.
Now I only have the Strut Bar but was wondering how those GTSPEC Braces will make a big difference when installed.
Can you feel it right away?
In terms of handling, would you go for braces or lowering springs? (Budget limited)

the whole setup? or just the backs? fronts?

on one hand... if I had to choose between the braces and lowering springs? I'd go with the springs as it also enhances the looks... but on the other hand... the braces are limited in production, if you can come across a set... you might want to jump on them and get the FX lowered later.

lowering springs = big plus. GT Spec makes your car much stiffer, better handling, but don't expect to be riding on clouds with the full set either, its going to feel more like a track-like imo...
 
Pman is right on, Hanjo. I have the full set installed. The most noticeable was the STB then the rear lower lateral. As for the rear lower tie, front lower engine tie and 4 point ladder, I didn't feel that much change in handling, but wait until you install the mid chassis brace, that ties everything together. My ride is a little on the stiff side now, but not harsh in any ways.
 
The full set is night and day better over a piece here and there. The STB is an excellent addition but togther they are tight. I drive in the city pretty much all the time and it's fine (although I prefer a stiffer ride) Still have yet to install my mid chassis brace, it sits in the box waiting to see if it is too low for the coilovers......nice to hear that it made such a difference LA.
 
If I was limited to which I would choose....go with the springs now. You get a better ride, handling, and looks. GTSpec are for performance only. I have a STB and the 2 rear braces. BIG difference in handling and control. Love the way it feels... much more planted. But, I was much happier after I lowered the car. Better control, looks, and a better ride. If money IS an object....I would vote : Lower it! Overall, I think you would be happier now and in the future with the springs....you can always get the bars later to increase your handling.

H&R's - Generally found to be a smoother ride than the Eibachs. Great overall spring set, especially if your married! :rofl:

Eibach's - Generally found to give you better handling than H&R's, and end up giving you a lower drop than H&R's.

Coil Overs - Awesome....but it sounds like your on a budget...so probably out of your range.
