GTSPEC braces installed

RIP,.. take it to an empty lot around midnight and do some REAL body-roll testing (let it rip, hehe.. ). GTSPEC quality should last years of fun and having no SNOW helps.

There is no rust basically because it never snows out here plus it barely even rains as well.

Now with the strut bar and 2 braces will complete my suspension mod for my 09 FX35 already lowered on H&R springs
to RIPnFX
how long before you got your items to your door from GTspec?
Last Tuesday I ordered a strut bar and those 2 braces from B2 and so far I only have the tracking number for the strut bar which shipped from B2, the other 2 braces are shipping from GTspec according to Charles and I have no idea if they even INSTOCK or ship to Canada yet :disapointed:

After I placed my order through B2 auto, it shipped directly from GTSPEC in NY and took 4 days to get to Cali

Just installed the front 4 points ladder brace as well as the rear tie brace. I have the 2 points rear lateral brace on order. I'm amazed how much these made a diff. The fx feels more sturdy, planted to the ground and has less body roll. I def recommend getting these, big difference for little $.

Rip, what's the torque specs on both braces? I've been procrastinating on putting it on since we moved to an apartment after we got flooded by Sandy. Now that we're back home and the weather is getting better i intend to put it on. Any tips on installing the braces? Thanks in advance, bro. Damn, glad to be back here, has been a while.

Did you have any fitment issues? I just attempted to have all four braces installed, the front upper engine bay strut bar, the two rear lower bars and the front ladder brace you pictured in this first post. The front lower ladder brace was about a half inch off from being able to reach the brackets at the rear of the brace. I was dissapointed by this and now I'm trying to figure out if it could be the way they were trying to install it or maybe the 50 is slightly different from the 35 underneath.they installed the front of the brace first and then removed the brackets from the rear of the brace and installed the brackets but then the brace wasn't long enough to reach the brackets at the rear of the brace. I was thinking about trying to install the rear of the brace first and then the front but the guys in the shop didn't think it would makes a difference and truthfully I was tired of waiting because they took there time (in a good way) to install the other three braces. Here are some pics of the problem:

Any suggestions?

Also the two bolts that hold up the front of the brace had long tabs that extended down which we had to shave off to allow the bolt to fit into the brace mounting point. Did you have to do this as well? If I can't get this brace to fit I'm going to be be tight because I bought it from OC Infiniti back in 2013 and I have just been procrastinating to put them on.

I didn't have any fitment issues whatsoever. It could possibly be diff on the 50 because mine all fit perfectly.

Regarding shaving the tabs....I didn't have to do that or any other type of modification.

So maybe it's just different on the 50 because there was a long tab on each bolt that was right under the top of the bolt where a washer would sit. There was definitely no way to mount the brace using that bolt without shaving the tab. We could have put it in through the back but not without taking apart way more than mounting the brace required. I'm tempted to try and mount the back first and see if the front can be forced into place but I don't want to waste my time if there's no way it's going to fit, it's not like the brace is going to give me much flexible play.

Any chance the two front bracket are installed incorrectly?

thats what im thinking. the bracket with the 2 bolts, maybe u guys installed it the wrong way? try flippping it 180, or the left onto the right side.

I'll take a look at that but I doubt that's the problem. The brackets look like they are proportioned exactly the same on the top and bottom side as well as the left and right side. So it looks like no matter how they are mounted the brackets would sit the same, they don't look left side/right side or top/bottom specific.
