GTSPEC Brace...Need someones help.

I am still having fit issues with the GTSPEC Shock Tower Brace I purchased through the group buy. GTSPEC pulled in an FX35 and test fit 25 bars and believed they found an issue. They sent me brackets to try which they feel would solve the problem. I put the them on without the bar and and put a bead of wax over the top edges and closed my hood to see if it would make contact. It seems to be hitting at the black retainer clip that holds the hood liner onto the hood, making me believe it would more than likely hit the hood otherwise.

Can someone do the same thing with wax and see if any part of the hood or liner touch the brackets?

I know that my existing bracket does make contact on the drivers side to the foam underlay. Doesn't appear to actually make contact with the hood as I don't notice anything impeding my ability to close the hood.

I know the bracket leave a slight indent on the hood heat shield, but have not cause any problem!

I looked at another FX with the GTSpec and noticed slight contact with the liner but the hood looks straight.

You would think gtspec would be better at spec'ing out these bars.

Mine was part of the group but. It does make contact but only slightly against the heat shield. Does not seem to push the hood up
