How is it so obvious they are copies? Picture shows the real deal and the only thing is that they are not in stock and they want you to "call to order". I personally don't care for GT-R wheels, although I was curious to see what they looked like on an FX. I was simply posting my finding in hopes of contributing to those that might be looking to buy some.

maybe because the wheels new cost around 2k each, and its not like there are as many GTRs driving around as other vehicles. Those are most likely copies that are not forged monoblock. Also, "not in stock" and a stock picture that they probably found online...
Over the last two months I called HCH, H&H and one other source looking for wheels. All three listed higher end wheels at unbelievably low prices but when i contacted them directly none of the wheels I were interested were in stock - ever. I think they pick wheels in high demand with low availability and run ads to catch the eye of potential buyers. Kind of pisses me off, can't call it false advertising per say but what the hell, they know they never get the wheels in and if they did I HIGHLY doubt they would sell them for the prices they advertise....scam.

They've never sold you anything and you haven't lost any money to them, so nothing illegal really took place. Yes it sucks that you spent all that time hunting down a good deal, but in the end, "if its too good to be true, it probably is" usually applies.
Wheels are always expensive via dealership pricing, nothing new about that. When I bought my STi in 2004, the 17" BBS Forged wheels also retailed for ~$2k each wheel. But people were selling full sets WITH tires for $1200. Just wait for some japanese parts importer to bring the stock wheels by the container full. I could understand the argument that the seller is potentially shady, but without actually having ordered and received anything, we cannot say for sure they are fake.

"Manufactured to factory specs" means that the replicas would have to be forged, and from the same aluminum alloy as the OEM versions...
I'm with Logan on this one; There's no way they could ever afford to stock these wheels because they would then have to sell them at these prices. Crafty bastards...

They just buy busted up rims, repaint them, and sell them for a profit. Considering that the paint code for the GT-R wheels isn't well known, I doubt they are actually the exact color unless taken to the dealership for painting.
