GTR Push To Start switch upgrade

This is very first mod i did when i got my '14 qx70s. Very simple for around $35. Plug n play installation, maybe 5min max. No need to remove any panels. I used one of those plastic tools and gently play around that chrome shroud to get the swich out. Swap the parts and push the switch back. Part # 25151-JF00A
This is optional, but i swap the inserts on the back to. Its a led which lights up the switch. Oem infiniti (blue connector) have White color leds. GTR (brown connector) has yellow leds. I liked white better on this gtr switch but you can leave it as is, not really that big difference

Where did you buy the switch from? Seems that part number is discontinued on most sites.


Edit: Nvm, found it in another part number, looks like a fairly common mod on the Z's so the parts are fairly prevalent.

So what lights up on the GTR switch? Just the lettering as opposed to the whole switch on the OEM one?

From videos and pictures, it's just the lettering. The button it'self is basically the same, but painted red. I almost pulled the trigger on this last night, but I don't think I want a big red button on the tan dash, and like the premium look of the stock button. The red looks a little too JDM for me, haven't made up my mind 100%, but it's all preference.

I'm with you...funny thing is that my wife's '16 Honda CR-V has a red start button...LOL
