GTR Gunmetal or Black wheels on my laser red?

it should resemble to this old ps:

Oh damn 4got about that pic! See I like how the gunmetal is subtle on the red. I know black & red go well but I'm just afraid the black might be a bit much of a contrast & I see that color combo frequently. But then again these are GTR wheels & not many have a black set. And that's my true dilemma.

Just picked them up today. Now tire shopping. I know the fronts run on the stock 265/50 size. Just wanted to make sure about the rear. I'm assuming 295/45?

^Correct on the tire sizes.

I've only come across one other guy with GT-R wheels on his FX, so yeah, not too likely to happen.

Thanks Stu! I don't think it looks to similar to our factory oem wheels. The ones I got are the 2011, which are a darker hyper black finish compared to the gunmetal or hyper silver. The wheel design is also spaced out more being that it's 7 spokes instead of 8. It's a much wider wheel with a staggered fitment & weighs a lot less. I guess you can call it the "Real Sports Package" upgrade lol.

Just got them put on today. I LOVE the look & the new darker black gunmetal makes a difference (especially on the red). I definitely need to run spacers for the fronts. I'm assuming 25mm? I'm lowered on H&R springs. Front tires are 265/50.

Yeah, 20mm if you go low (or intend to go low) with the 265/50's. If not you will end up doing some plastic cutting......

Stu/Logan I know both of yall are running with coilovers so you guys are sitting lower then me. I'm on H&Rs & the rear doesn't rub at all & I have a 2 finger clearance. Fronts are the same. You guys think I can go with 25mm or just go with the 20mm?

Well, I know you have the black set already, so it doesn't matter, but I would've preferred the lighter version of the wheels on your car. It would be a nice contrast with the red and match the silver roof rails a bit better too. Now if your rails were black, then definitely black wheels.

They arent really a full black. More of a darker gunmetal, close to black. It looks really nice & flows with my car very well. It goes great with the black grill, sports headlight & tails. It also contrast perfectly with the black rocker panels. I will post pics today. I love how wide the rears are & actually accelerates a lot quicker due to the wheels being so light. No regrets here. :smile (2):

Stu has a better read on the fronts as he is running the same W/T set-up as you. I remember 20mm being close but rubbing under hard corner load.

I would say you could run 25mm if not all the way lowered and it would look better. Hope these pics help.
