GTR Gunmetal or Black wheels on my laser red?

I originally wanted a set of gunmetal GTR wheels but came across an opportunity to purchase a set of black 2011 GTR wheels with tires today. Just wanted a few opinions about which color would best suit my laser red fx. Thanks!

IMO, i'll go with black but i guess either one would look good..
black and red always look good together so you cant go wrong :smile (2):

I say the 2011 black GTR wheels since most members appear to have gunmetal and you would stick out in my opinion

Black all the way.

When you have a car that has a high contrast color like Red, you don't want to add another shade into the mix.

Your windows are black, your plastics are black - your rims should be... black.

I like Gunmetal on white, gray/silver & black cars.

I just jumped the gun and got the 2011 black GTRs. I'll be mounting them hopefully by this wknd or early next week! Woohooo!

You guys are silly, since we see each other on the forum, it's too many

....take a sampling of all US buyers US and Internationally as a % of FX owners and see what you come up with. I highly doubt I will ever see an FX in Washington with GTR wheels or much of the other crap I have done as long as I own my ride.

BTW I would have gone with Gunmetal on the red body as the red is such a warm color, but that's just me.

hahaha that's a good point logan...i better not see another FX with GTR wheels in OC or else i'll be very tempted to switch wheels haha...someone give me an excuse to change!

Sorry, I was responding to the later conversation in the thread about too many people having gtr wheels. My bad.

Back on topic: I like the black ones if those are my only two choices, but personally I've been waiting to see someone color match them to the oem FX wheels. "Polished", "silver", "hyper-silver", whatever it's called. That would be sweet.

I would go with the black set too. I think you can't go wrong with red & black. Yeah, there are many of us on IS having the GTR wheels, but as Logan was saying; out side of IS you'll be unique all the way. I would jump on a set in a heart beat if they have them in 22s.
