Bump to my thread :)

Super Car Sunday this past weekend. It was Ferrari day. Our usual drive on Topanga Cyn, except my buddy brought a new ride to put in the coral at the event. Was the Cali, a CTSV, & me in the wagon :) I wore a GoPro. It's 1080p if you guys are interested in watching it, so you may need to readjust the res. Video includes a few parts as to not bore you.
Not my favorite Ferrari, but it does sound nice. He's waiting on an F12 which is much nicer, . . then this one will go back. Living the dream I guess.

& can one set it so it plays at a better res automatically?

Cool video. Had to have been a lot of fun.
I just wish there was a GoPro option to digitally separate the wind noise.
 
I think some do it with an external mic. That way you can put it anywhere & out of the wind
 
If the mic could focus in on different noise sets and there was some way to have separate noise layers to be able to turn on and off. (wind noise, exhaust tones, road noise, music playing, crowd cheering as you drive by)
Still a fun video regardless.

Never heard of anything like that. You can easily lower frequencies, but there's no way to lower wind noise at 100Hz without lowering exhaust noise at 100Hz as well.

The foam trick really works though. The wind noise is buffeting across the mic diaphragm and the foam prevents the wind from reaching it without suppressing sound.

Not! We're not racing, & nobody was really pushing it. public roads with bicyclists, & we were trying to capture the sound without my lawnmower drowning it out, hence the late starts.
But yes, he would have lost me in no time. 0-60 in under 4. Top end near 200.

Nobody evr makes fun of the FX, cuz I have the ballz to go up against the supercars :)

We also do this pretty often. If there's traffic up ahead, the lead car will pace us to open up the road a little bit. Nothing worse than wasting a canyon behind some slowpoke.

Hey, possible to get a sound clip of your lawn mower? Both at idle and under load would be great.
