Thanks Ege I was looking for the same thread so I can explain lance where the brace mount points would be at in conjuction with the 4 point brace.

Thanks Rubare-BTW-On the brace item numbers I meant GTS-SUS-1131 4pt. mid ladder and GTS-SUS-1321 4pt. front ladder, you got it anyway-cool.
 
Got you bro.. Before I started this thread I was confused about the placement of the brace.. I looked at ege's thread and I was kind of getting it. Then I did my lil own research plus lifted my fx couple of time to visualized it and I got it.. That's why I think that in combination with the rest of the braces it will enhance the FX's performance..

Def can't wait for this.
 
guys I got a reply from GTspec.. They said the mid chassis braces are on their way. So they are jus waiting for the shipment to arrive so they can start the testing of regular 350Z brace on the FX so they can see which changes they have to make to it..
I adressed the AWD and RWD differences (diferential case is that IT? right?) so if I didn't do it right please do help me out and adress it.

Someone from GTspec will elaborate more about the situation and from my view of things project have a 98% chance of happening so we will get hooked up with FX's mid chassis ladder braces..

Well one more update. GTspec got the mid chassis ladder brace and they will start testing it out on the fx and see what modification needs to be done. They will let's us know within a week or so.

usually GTspec requiered 10 or more for a GB i think we have enough and more.. keep it coming guys.. i hope they let us know more about this project soon..
 
Do we know how hard the install we be? i'm guessing pretty straight forward bolt on right?

I think the front mounting point will require a rivet to be able to use that chasis hole. If I've identified the points correctly last time, the front holes are too big and irregular shaped for a direct bolt on.. I guess, we'll learn about that soon..

ok, we got the FX on the lift, look like the mid chassis required modification to fit on the FX.

We will have the brace mock up next week (help from Logan from RPMNYC).

Two of the mounting points required a chassis rivet (like those on the front engine brace), and the other two are stock bolt / mounting points.

The two mounting points that required chassis rivet also required drilling, need to enlarge the holes by about 1 to 2 mm.

We have to extend the brace about 2" to 3" since the FX body are wider compare to the G and Z.

But yes, the project is going forward and prototype brace will be done in 1 to 2 weeks.
