Anyone know if there's a need for a grounding kit for the 2nd gen? I couldn't find a post for the 2nd gen.

My bad, I should have been more specific. On the first Gen, there was a mod using thick gauge wire to overlap the grounding points from the battery's negative terminal, to the transmission, the engine, and other ground points in the engine bay.

This allowed components to get more amperage, at least I noticed a difference. Not sure if there is a need for the 2nd Gen or if it was enhanced.

I have not heard of a set available for the 2nd Gen.
I think they do help, there used to be a lot of talk about them, I remember you could purchase Black Betty grounding wires and Gordgee grounding Gear. You could make your own set up, if you google there is lots of info about them.

I have the Gordee G grounding kit, never was sure if it had an effect or not to be honest. I have to believe that with the needs of more complex automotive electrical systems manufacturers have boosted the quality of wiring contact points and aftermarket grounding systems will become less and less effective.

Gordee G is made here in Canada, hrm, I could make this myself. I know the grounding kit had a noticeable effect on my 1st gen FX. I noticed the HID came on stronger faster, the engine felt more stable, everything seemed to have felt more solid.

Just looking at the grounding points on the 2nd gen, I'm not sure there's much to upgrade, either the grounding goes to the engine's metal structure or the chassis. The one thing I did notice on the 1st gen was there would be a few black wires coming out of the wire loom going to s single grounding point...
