grinding when braking(sometimes)

hey guys,

I just recently had my front brakes done and now sometimes i'm hearing a grinding noise from the front left. I can also feel a bit of vibration through the pedal sometimes. The weird thing is the brakes feel strong and it only happens sometimes. I could drive from one stop sign to the next and at one it would do it, while at the next the brakes will feel fine. I brought it back to the mechanic who did the work and he claimed to not feel/hear it and said that it was "probably because of the heat and humidity". He also said he looked at everything and all seemed to be in order. Does this make any sense to you guys?

never heard of the heat and humidity thing, happened to me when I changed my breaks myself, give it a couple days to get worn in a bit new pads always seem to squeak the first day or two for me after that they completely go away, but that's just me. If it continues for over a week I'd say take it to a different shop who could maybe take a look at it for you ? maybe they can spot the problem

I once picked up a small rock I think between my pad and rotor. Made a horrible grinding noise until I got it out. Now, when braking between about 20-50% pressure there's a slight rubbing/grinding/squealing and the dealer said they couldn't find anything. It's been about a year now and still does it so who knows.

I had an annoying vibration in my brakes, I got the rotors turned, and new pads, the vibration became horrible. I thought I did something wrong. Got some rotorpros and they feel great now. (Also look a lot better) Looking in the forums, a lot of people say the stock rotors are not very good.

Definitely worth the swap out.
