Patience is key...took me approx 9 months to find the right Lexus for my wife. Crazy story on that one as I had agreed to another purchase and felt like it was somewhat settling. About a day or two before the actual transaction was to take place I received a pm from a party with the vehicle that was everything I wanted and with 30k less miles....and also in the price range. Turns out, I ended up purchasing from that last minute pm and I felt terrible to give the other party the bad news. I ended up with an 2008 instead of a 2007 and with considerably less mileage.
The kicker was during our meetup with the purchasing (last minute) party, I had my mom and dad with us as we all went out to dinner and we were running late to meet them. I told them instead of dropping them off at home, that they just come along with us and they might as well check out the vehicle too and see what they think. I go to test drive and as we come back my mom is talking to the wife of the selling party. They somehow mention as association and that they are both members of the same organization. Then mention a few names of some people that they had formerly known. One name comes up and the wife from the selling party mentions my uncle from when they were in high school in the mid 50s. So it turns out that her husband was best friends with my uncle in high school. And during those years, both of them (they were a couple in high school) would come with my uncle to my grandma and grandpa's house every Monday to join the family for dinner. Needless to say, we didnt only gain good friends but longtime friends of the family who lost touch over the years (They were basically an aunt and uncle to my cousins back in the day, but I was too young to remember). We see them pretty often now and have rejoined coming to all our family functions again. Just a silly story how things turn out in the end....
