So just today I will be picking up my 03 Fx35. It's bone stock (for about the next week, haha), white with the cloth interior, AWD. it will be my commuter as I am giving the wife the 300C to play with. new to the forum and just wanted to say wussup.

I will post up some pics once I get her and have played thoroughly over the weekend and washed her again.

Anything I should expect from the 03 AWD models? Any quirks or mods or just general issues you guys have experienced? Parts on island are extremely limited, so everything is shipped. Gotta love it. The really good thing is though, I am only a few hours from Japan and can fly and pick up parts for next to nothing. So at least there's that.

Thanks for any info up front. I'm sure I will end up asking all sorts of questions as this will be my first Infiniti. From the test drive alone, it probably won't be my last!
 
Wow, you've got the uber rare cloth interior. There's nothing that really stands out for the 03 model in terms of something to worry about. Enjoy the new ride.

Welcome to the scene, cloth? Wow I never knew the fx even came in cloth.

As for the boonie dogs, you could easily fit 10. They're not only hella skinny, but also usually short as hell. Can't stand the damn things! Lol

I've been looking at tons of pictures of the 03 FX's and haven't found another with my setup. It seems like I have the base of all base models. No sunroof, no roof rack, cloth seats, no technology package. But hey, for Guam it works. I'm just happy it has awd for the rainy season. I've been slackin on getting the pics up. Will add some soon for you guys once I get her back. FX is at the dealers getting new headlights through the recall. Woohoo! Haha
 
Welcome. Don't think you will find many parts for FX in Japan, since they didn't sell them there.

you essentially have the base model that never was. They only sold a very limited number of them. Rare find. (not that it's desirable in most people's opinions)

No kidding right. It works for me out here tho. Leather would just be too hot in this weather, the sunroof would no doubt start rusting or break due to the salt water and humidity and really, no need for a roof rack. Thanks for the welcome.

Very true. Probably just the Nissan stuff for the motor and rims, stuff like that. I'll still have to look around the next time I go.

Btw, what suspension setup do you have? I like the stance.

So I finally took some pics over the weekend, but I need to post 5 more times to be able to slap them up here. Once I hit the correct number of posts, I will be sure to share pics of the "uber rare" cloth interior.

Btw found out that they did a recall for the headlights of the 03's. Mine are getting replaced free of charge once they arrive on island. Just incase anyone else has an 03 that never had the recall done. You might get a brand new set of headlights! Thought I'd share the wealth.
