Anybody else have this problem. I replaced my dash recently with a used one. And now the new one has this film on it that keeps recurring. I wipe it or touch it and it leaves fingerprints and wipe marks. I've used 3 different cleaners Armor All cleaner, Meguiars wipes, Mothers Vinyl and Leather cleaner. Right after clean it, it's fine. Then overnight it comes back. And it won't go away.

I have the same thing do not use any kind of cleaner on the dashboard it's only going to make the problem worse

It could be vinyl outgassing - basically the volatile compounds in vinyl become gas in heat. Normally it happens on new vinyl and can leave a film on your dash or windshield. In your case, maybe the previous owner used a ton of products on the dash and it's built up. Try leaving it in a hot area and then cleaning off the residue. It should stop eventually. I've had a similar issue when I had my interior redone in a previous car, the vinyl used on the rear package shelf started fogging the rear glass in the heat with residue. Cleaned it a few times and eventually it stopped.

try rubbing talcum power on a lil inconspicuous spot of the dash and wipe it off with a cloth. a lot of petroleum based rubber and vinyl products made 10 yrs ago have developed a sticky or mushy texture to them. i used it on my computer keyboard, universal remote, binoculas and etc. and it seems to do the trick.

Eventually seems im giving up i replaced my dash with a used one but few months later it started bubbling again, Tried upholstering it with a high quality leather but I couldnt line it up around the speakers zone and still looking imbalanced..

I live in saudi arabia and the Stealership wont help at all but to replace it on my own cost
have anyone tried a decent dash cover fits perfectly and looks nice ! any other ideas ??

In America we have JC Whitney catalogues, rock auto, and Autoanything sell custom fit carpet overlays. $60.+\-. Doesn't look original, but doesn't look inappropriate on a car your age.

If you're able, pull the dash out & then attempt to reupholster it. A piece of high quality leather that size isn't cheap, so do it right the 1st time & if your not confident, take it to a shop & pay someone to do it & I'm sure you'll be glad you did. You've got one the most trend-setting vehicles of our time & bought some nice leather to correct your problem. Stay away from the cheesy dash covers.
On another note, I'm digging your paint matched trim. I've seen it before but not in silver. Any more pic's???
