got the Unorthodox Racing pulley!

i hate you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lol
you always poke fun at me!

jk. Vinny will back up his work, i spoke to him about it. thats why he didnt put the CNR in in the first place: there would be problems and i would be back in the shop. so we're all good.

you guys scare me cuz i dont know much and you guys do haha.

anyways, im excited to get this put in!

you can feel it's power right? can sum1 describe it? haah

You're not gonna get anymore power from the pulley.
If anything its just gonna help the RPM's climb up with less effort.
When I installed my light weight pulley - I noticed my midrange RPMs climbed up a bit easier. As far as more HP....thats a no.

aright, sounds good to me still!
atleast i got a straight answer and not something like:

"well it'll get to 3,000 then the roclets will engage and your Hp increases by 70 blahlbLALHLBAHLLBHLHL KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM" etc.

thanks for the help :)

the crank pulley is installed and it works great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i can honestly feel the extra pull and it feels as is the engine has easier accel. and pull.

definatley reccomended!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am considering doing the full under driven pulley set (three pulleys). Did you (jbaker, anyone else with UR pulley) log any improved MPG? I have under driven crank pulley on my v6 accord and its been real good for over 3 years now.
I am getting the Ur one since its a proven company/products and the problems usually come from the seal or the pulley separating into two pieces (bad designs/copies).

i havent really noticed a MPG change......its pretty much the same i guess but i dotn rele check my tank till its empty......

i suggest getting it though it's awesome!!!!!!!

Im getting mine (full set UR underdrive) this Friday. I got a great deal on ebay. I can't wait to get it installed!

What I read, most people got faster revs, and more TQ with underdrive. Some people here have the stock size and lighten version. I have had a underdrive crank pulley on other cars and never had any problems. Just make sure you but it from a repitable company, because they have known to crack into 2 pieces due to thin walls/ weak spots. Thats why I got the UR, not a WRP.

well I tried underdrive and it caused problems. faster revs, more responsive but it caused problems that nobody else had.. whatever the reason, both of the pulleys will help you gain more torque and power all over the range as it's not related to air or fuel.. underdriven will give you faster revs, hp & tq, stock size will give you faster revs.. if the whole underdriven set, it will put more strain on the alternator and if you're favoring big subs etc, forget about good electrical power..

In my case, I believe it made the water pump run faster, making an annoying sound as well as affecting something else to make another annoying sound.. Hope you don't have these..

Why would you lose any torque? It's freeing up rotational mass... has absolutely nothing to do with the power output of the motor itself...

I just read this thread and had a great laugh, you guys pulling JB's chain was to funny. I put on the under drive pulley last week and wow its a smooth transition for the RPMs. a bit louder sounding when you get on the gas but I definitely like it. a good Mod, Thanks E for the pulley...

yeah i remember this forum too....haha

my motor hasn'T gone KABOOMMM yet so i think we'll be okay lol. but i can deff tell in the mid-range it climbs alot faster than the low or high.

yes sir, it is one Mod I'd recommend. The mid range feels good. the revs seem smoother as the speed increases. I'll still have to see what the long term effects are for the underdrive pulley being that I'm pushing 1700 watts of stero equipment.

yes, I will be reading this post for your long term effects. I too have a underdrive UR pulley that I havent installed yet.

I would say go for it, I don't play my music as loud as I use to, being older of course and I want to be able to hear 20 years from now. this mod is well worth it. I didn't install it myself, but the performance shop I went to took care of it in less than 30 min. Are you running an aftermarket system? Honestly the only issue I could see would be if you were running your system full blast at idle. other than that most altenators wear out over time and need to be replaced at some point. Currently I'm doing good, and I charge my batteries every so often to keep them up, and running to there potential. so this is a good mod unless you plan on going FI.
