If you listen between shifts and after the shift back to park the tone of the knock changes with engine load

Sorry man, I listen to it again and again with your pointer and I just can't hear it. Must be my hearing problem again!
 
Thanks Andy. I couldn't hear anything at first, nothing like a noise canceling headphones ;)
Hopefully that's the problem. And nothing more serious
 
It's very faint sorry fellas. But the diesel sound is the perfect way to describe it.
ill be checking the fuel dampener tommorow.
 
Hey if it's the fuel dampener (which I think it is) is it going to hurt it to drive like that until I get funds to replace it??
 
It won't affect the safety of your driving but the noise eventually will get louder and it will sound like you're driving a diesel truck or a clunker. :) you might get kind if a lag when trying to suddenly accelerate but other than that you'll be fine, just don't wait too long.
