Got my '09, already making modding plans :)

Greetings!

After doing my homework, I ended up picking up a Black '09 35. I love everything about this car, minus a few things, but that's where the fun begins and will be eventually be remedied.

Immediate plans include new wheels (just ordered)/tires so I can loose the 18" stockers. Going with a lipless/concave 20" ... depending on how I like the color, I'm thinking about getting them powder coated a dark gunmetal and thencolor matching the side vent (maybe trim) so it blends in/matches. A dark look that's not quite blacked out.

Anyway, I look forward to contributing ... plus, I'm a graphic designer so I can possibly help pitch in with mock up requests if needed :)
 
welcome! another 09 er. I have so many plans for my ride too but life keeps getting in the way :( for now I have to satisfield my mod urge by looking at more fortunate 09ers. and oh yea got a ticket last nite, even further from my HRE goal lol
 
I can see how these might be easy to get a ticket in. I had the expensive wheel dream too, for me it was/is the Advan/AVS F15 ... one day

I think that'd look quite perfect on our rides. Wish more JDM wheels were in 20's, easier to get ... and I guess cheaper wouldn't hurt either
 
Welcome! Good call on the wheels. I've had my FX since 04 and I'm STILL trying to figure out what wheels I want. They MUST be lighter than my stock 20s or it's not a balanced upgrade to me. I want looks AND performance!

Are the wheels you just ordered lighter than stock, just wondering? Post some pics of the wheels and the install when you can!
 
Will do, I've got about another 2 or so weeks to go on the wheels. Went with these in a 20x10:

at 20x10, I was told they'd be about 25.9 so definitely lighter than stockers. I believe I'm one of the first using their newly available 20's. I 'll be able to do my own weigh in pre and post tires too in order to get an accurate reading. I'll make sure and post details along the way :)
