Got into another accident today :'-(

Was driving on the service road off the Long Island Expressway and minding my own business. This old b**** is coming out of the exit to get on the service road with me and ignores the yield sign. Me knowing that she is suppose to stop because there is a yield sign she still continues to come out of the exit and by then she was at my back end when coming out and all of a sudden I hear a loud BOOOOOOM!!! She hit my back side tire and rear door on the driver side. My baby is all hurt and ruined :at-wits-end::at-wits-end::at-wits-end::at-wits-end::at-wits-end:

This was the exit she came out of without yielding when there clearly is a yield sign:

I need some advice guys here is my problems:

1. The police told me that I may have a hell of a time getting her insurance to cover it because that dumb ass b**** is lying now and saying that I changed lanes without looking when she came out of the exit LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. She is lying. Before the cops came she admitted to me she didn't know the yield sign was there. Then when the police came she changed the story and said I changed lanes without looking. :at-wits-end::at-wits-end::at-wits-end: What a lying b****. I was already in the far left left lane when she came out of that exit without yielding to give me the right away. She wasn't allowed to come out until the traffic was clear.

2. The second thing I need to ask is should I try to get a brand new door out of the insurance?? My the door is completely dented and the thought of having body filler put in makes me go nuts. :ninja:

I can't take it to Turbo or anyone I know. Last time on my other car the insurance made me take it to their place and I picked from a list or something.

3. My third issue is the wheel. Besides hitting my back left door she also bumped into the wheel really hard. I'm worried that the suspension might of received some damaged or she f***ed up the alignment or something. I'm thinking of taking it to the dealer to have them look over the entire underside of that tire to make sure it's okay. What do you guys think??

Sorry to hear Aaron. I would go after her regardless of what she says. She's a fault and needs to pay.

Damn man this sucks but I'm glad you're ok. As far as the insurance, it's against the law for them to force you to take it to somewhere in particular to have it repaired. I would definitely have that wheel and rear area checked to make sure there's no damage.

Yes I'm definately going after her for this until I get the money I deserve for this. I'm thinking something like this is going to be atleast over $1K because I need a new side molding and wheel arch. Those two pieces together are like $400. Then I also need to pay the dealer to have my car looked over and maybe get an alignment if anything is screwed up. All of that plus the cost of repainting the door. Should I try for a new door from them?

Aaron, when the old dude drove into my front fender, they were only going to fix the dents and I demanded a new front fender and a new wheel lip molding. He also hit my front wheel and I had the insurance okay an alignment check to make sure nothing got bent or threw out the alignment

Ouch, if this falls into the "he said /she said" accident. You might have to get this repaired under your own insurance first. And then the insurance companies will battle it out. At least no one got hurt, good luck with the repairs.

Sorry about your car bro ...hope her insurance doesn't give you any problems

Sucks that this happened but the most important thing is that no one was seriously hurt. I hope your insurance company takes care of you accordingly.

And now a moment of silence for our comrade. So very sorry man. I'd be shackled to a bench at Riker's if it were my whip. That ignorant whench would be in 6 pieces and easily fit into a suitcase. Let the insurance companies duke it out. Best of luck, at least YOU aren't hurt.

That sucks man. Definetly stick to your story. Even if you did change lanes she should've anticipated that and still yield to you. You can definetly push for a new door, but expect a no in return....

Ah man i hate seeing shit like this. Sorry about your accident. Hope the insurance gets this fixed.

that Exit 29 is really bad.... they should change it to one lane and one lane for exiting cars. You pay enough for insurance to fight for it. She came off the exit so she's really at fault. and you know of course bring it over to Hempstead Auto Collision.... ill give them a call whenever you want to go over there.

My thoughts are that she is at fault too seeing as she has the yield sign. Even if you were changing lanes, you were ahead of her and she hit you from behind-ish.

really sucks bro but ultimately I'm very happy you are safe. Could had been a lot worse!

Thanks guys I came out of this 100% okay physically. Emotionally I'm hurt really bad. Hearing that sound is something that keeps running through my head as it was pretty damn loud. It made my back in swerve to the right when she did it. Her car didn't have that much damage like mine as it was her front right tire that when into my back side. She only came out with some paint missing on her front fender. By the way she was driving a silver Chevy Traverse.

@Kenny I agree that area is really bad over there. There are yield signs everywhere and people ignore them constantly. Apparently they think were suppose to stop for them to come out.

@Aiya, your right man. I swear I never changed lanes that caused the accident. But when she told the cops I changed lanes I told them "let's just say" I changed lanes, she still IGNORED the yield sign. Even though I never changed lanes. She thought I was going to stop for her to let her out so someone behind me can smash into my back bumper when I slam on the brakes to let her out.

I remember the comment she said to the cop about me. She told him I was full of "bologna" lmao

Oh yeah I forgot to add she stopped and asked a random guy that showed up an hour after the accident on the street that wasn't even near the accident scene when it happened to tell the cops he saw what she said happened. What a total b****

It took the police 2 hours to show up :at-wits-end:
