Traded in my 2010 fx for a 2012 Mdx. Loved the car but just couldnt make it work with 2 kids. Will miss it for sure. Will be selling my roof rails and cargo cover and organizer. Anyone know how to remove the rails and what tool to use?

Good luck with the MDX, great luxury SUV for the family. Did you even consider the JX during your search?

Is the cargo cover black if so can you pm me the price ...thanks and good luck with the Mdx.

Good luck with your new ride.
To remove the cross rails there are 8 torx bolts total. I'm pretty sure their a T-5. Just be careful to put a microfiber cloth or towel under the side of the crossbar your taking off so it doesn't scratch your roof.

My lovely wife and I have the new MDX and it is great for kids. We have two girls @ 5 & 8 and its also good for hauling additional kids and some gear. We can do a four day weekend at the cabin with the dog comfortably. Enjoy the ride!

Good luck with the Acura. Acura was actually on my top list before I went for the FX. I like the comfy ride, reliability reviews and decent power. However, I don't like the new models post 2009. I think they went overboard with the styling.

IMHO, whoever from their R&D team that started that heavily pointed styling and heavy angular features, weird grills, wide open grille parts should be fired. But hey, who knows. Most people raised their eyebrows when the first FX hit the streets.

^ Agreed our MDX is a gen II (but pre crazy grill style) The gen II got hammered for having the "Voltron force" grill but then Acura goes deeper after 2009 by cutting off the bottom portion of the grill. I like the pre 09's better as well. Some of it is subtle, like the use of chrome here and there but it seems a bit uneccesary, almost as if they had to have an upgrade.

Hahaha, "Voltron Force" . Wow that reminds me of my teen years on Saturday morning cartoon shows. Ah, I can't stand the these newer Acura styling! But good luck with your ride.

I am already missing the keyless entry and iPod USB integration. It's surprisIng that Acura doesn't have these basic features. Loving the extra space , the full size stroller now has a permanent spot in the boot.
