When you do go out, make sure you take a lot of pictures for your claim. And try to cover the holes once the wind subsides. With all that your area is going through, it will probably delay your insurance adjuster's visit. Just glad you and your family are safe and hope that continues. You have a lot of folks you don't know that are hoping for the best up there.

That's crazy Aaron. The most important is that you and your family are safe. Man, my heart goes out to all NYkers. We are closely following the situation in the news. My son asked me a question that I can't answer. He said, "what is happening in New York dad?"
As an ex NYker, I can only imagine what the place looks like with subway down, busses not operationg and bridges getting closed. Be same bro, no property is more valuable than human life..

Just an update guys. My family and I made out of this safe! Just feels good to be alive. Someone in my hometown here got struck by a tree and died. My heart goes out to him and his family along with all the other people. Our house has taken a beating mainly the garage.
As to my fx I'm grateful for one thing to find out water did not go inside! The tint I had applied to the windshield kept it all together. $100 saved the interior. We got the telephone line off my car with the help of my neighbors and the tree has been removed off my car.
Unfortunately the body took a real bad beating. No frame damage just every single panel on the car has dents and gouges in it. The hood is crumpled and needs replaced and the windshield needs replaced along with the mirror and various other trim pieces. But the big issue here is that the whole entire car needs repainted. Every single panel requires serious attention.
My problem is that I'm not even sure the insurance will fix this. With the whole car needing repair I would assume they would declare it totaled. It looks like its easily $10K-$15K in damage. I hear the windshield and side mirror alone is just $3K itself and that's not including the fact the whole car needs repaired and repainted.
