You know after owning the FX for a few days,...I must say I pretty impressed with the power and handling of it...it has alot of characteristics of my old Z with room to carry 4 people comfortably...I am not too worried about getting more power...will do some exterior and interior mods...maybe an exhaust but thats about it.

The FX is such a great cross over vehicle. Every day I haul stuff to work or a job site. When its empty its back to being a sports ride, plus my little girls dig it.

The stock exhaust has a nice exotic note - Choose wisely on your system. If you can go to a meet and ride in some FX's with the exhaust you are considering purchasing do it. I have an aftermarket system and I have installed trunk and rear seat sound deadener but I am still not happy with the in-cabin DB's....if you don't mind the interior sound just go for it......

Personally if I had to pick ONE mod for extra juice on the VK45 it would be the UPREV tune. UPREV tune will give you more power, slightly better MPG's....and you can reset the rev limiter.
 
in another note...

i being driving a Prius for almost 3 weeks now(its a rental a experiment me and my girl are doing!!!) so to treat my self yesterday i decided to drive my FX, on my way home i see fairly modded 1998-99 nissan maxima on my tail(tailgating).. i was just cruising all the way on the right lane so i was thinking he wanted me to speed up so he can pass. wrong... he kept doing it so at the light he was next to me giving me the looks. i was a adult and ignored him.. so he didnt go anywhere.. now on my tail i have a small red mercedes clk.. doing the same crap the nissan was doing.. so at the next light all three of us where lined up.. this time the teenager in me took over and said Fck it! we took off on green CLK was quicker on the start, FX fallowed and he nissan well was last.. as i mentioned before i have being driving a prius for quite some time.. i was surprised of how close the FX kept up with the CLK.. plus this was the first time i floored it after installing megan racing Cats..

All im saying is i havent drive a 45 yet, i heard its pretty quick.. but The 35 can hold its ground fairly well after a few lil mods..

the 45 is all that and then some love my 45 took a friend for a ride he had never been in one he ask if it had a turbo i told him all motor of course i had to manual shift yea baby let the good times roll on the back roads:smile (2): drive it like it stolen
 
Welcome, the FX is a great vehicle, made the sacrafice as well for practicality. Almost a month in mine and no complaints. Now start the MODS!
 
fx35 or 45

Hey im new here, i have been saving to get my hand on the fx , now that i go the money i cant find the color im looking for, looking for either white or laser red
 
Really short love affair...sold my FX today after 26 days of ownership...a great truck,but with fuel prices where they are heading and my 50k mile commute round trip..i was filling up every 5th day or so...spending $500 a month on gas just wasnt a smart decision...Im gonna pick up something more fuel efficient....BTW i sold it for exactly what i bought it for ..not a penny less...Best of luck everyone
 
Wow, that was quick. I don't have the V8, but still getting killed by these gas prices. I drive over 200 miles a day sometimes! I usually average 4-500 a week. I was looking into some other options recently too but like the FX too much.

What are you thinking of picking up, any idea yet?

Either a 2011 Subaru Legacy Sedan or a 2011 Nissan Juke AWD..both are 4 bangers
